What does a professional groomer do when she finishes work early and her own dog needs a bath, but there's blue sky outside, and just enough daylight left for a little hike?
She cleans up, wraps her wet hair in a warm beret, and hits a trail! The Poodle remains a cobblers child, but he got to come along too, so we're both much happier with this decision. 😉
Time was short, and the old man can only walk so far, but I logged a legitimate small hike. What better place to start the year than on my land? 😊 I also got to enjoy a pretty sunset, which will look even better after some of the trees are thinned for building.
Every hiking challenge has to start somewhere. This year I'm going after unique trails and more miles. Let the games begin!
