Final "reflection hike"… and another checkmark off the list.
As I did for my previous reflection hike, I took to the most important place: my land. It felt like a good day for a little shamanic ritual, as well as some trail work. Not only did the weather turn out perfect, but I actually didn't realize until after the fact that tonight is the New Moon! Good time for a ritual, indeed!
While maybe this wasn't technically traditional "hiking" (simply because of the slowness of cutting trails), it still added up to over a mile and a half, and was a couple hours well spent. Therefore it fits the parameters of the challenge. So "hike," indeed.
I'm excited to have more trail to walk on my land now too. There is still SO much work that needs to be done. But every little bit helps. I will eventually have the full perimeter path I want, as well as everything else I desire on my land... my home.
9/6 new moon ritual on land & trail cutting, 1.6 mi, 2 hrs
