Finally, back to hiking! I've been having withdrawal!
The weather wasn't ideal today, but it was fine this morning for "unimpressive" hikes such as these. (Other than the wicked humidity. Yuck! I got so sticky I actually was hoping it'd rain! LOL)
The important thing is, we finally checked these off the LRCT list. Only two hikes to go to finish that patch! Our last ones should be nicer, too.
Foggy trail as we ascended Sheridan. (Which is an annoyingly steady climb for no views beyond the parking lot.) 3.9 miles total, 1129 ft elevation gain. |
Red Hill River trails. Another pretty parking lot. LOL |
At least these trails have a few interesting sights in the woods with the river. And were decently marked for the most part. Overall a much nicer hike than I expected! Still not worth repeating unless you're local. (Unless, I suppose, you don't have anything just as good closer to home. Which I do. 😉) |
#45: 8/30 Sheridan Woods (Moultonboro), 3.9 mi, 1:41 hrs, 1129 ft.
& Red Hill River trails (Ctr. Sandwich), 2.8 mi, 1:08 hrs, 285 ft.
